Babyliss Boutique Smooth Ceramic 235 Straighteners Review

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Hey everyone!
I feel like it's been ages since i did an actual beauty review, and seeing as this one was a popular request, i thought i'd do a Babyliss Boutique Smooth Ceramic 235 Straighteners Review.
So many of you asked me questions about these straighteners, so im going to do a Q&A style blog!

Do they really heat up to 235 degrees? Hells to the yeah! i think these are probably the 'hottest' straighteners i've ever used, and they really are flippin' roasting.
Can you adjust the heat settings?  Yes! if you want a little less heat on the 'do' then you can definitely adjust this to suit yourself. If for example you were going for the 'poker straight' look (which btw is SO hot right now!) then the hottest temperature is ideal.
Did you notice any snagging? No none. Genuinely. One of my biggest bug bearers are straighteners that snag and pull at my hair, but these genuinely don't.
What about the barrel on these? do they curl well? You can change up how tight or loose you want your curls to be with these, which is great. I love how well these curl, the curved barrel on these is perfect for adding everything from beachy waves to curly ringlets to your hair! i thought id add a wee photo of my hair after i added a few curls to it...

How long do the curls last? In all honesty, as someone who uses different appliances every week, the one thing ive found is that the length of time the curl lasts, isn't a reflection on the straightener/curling tong. If you want long lasting curls, you need to use a volumising shampoo and a good hairspray to set the curls, so i would definitely recommend you use this method instead of expecting the curl to last purely because of the appliance you use. :)
How quickly do these cool? I haven't really made a conscious effort to find out, but i do know that i picked up my straighteners about 20 minutes after using them and they were completely cool.
How long is the cable? salon length! (usually about 2 metres - very long!) there is plenty of cable with this, and you'll be pleased to know it is a swivel cord and so is less likely to break!  Oh and guess what? there's a 5 year warranty included - Yeah Boy!
I really hope i answered all of your questions! if there is anything i haven't answered, please do leave me a wee comment and i will get back to you asap!
