Along with Pink my other favorite color is Coral- anything with the slightest hint of orange, red and pink in it together makes me go drool drool and lusting madly after it. So it is not surprising that coral lipsticks form a fair part of my lipstick collection, and I also have a HUGE wishlist of iconic corals that I hope to add to my stash gradually. Coral is such a pretty and flattering color on all skintones, and especially if it comes in a juicy glossy finish it can take any makeup look to such a beautiful level... The lipstick I'm featuring today is one such fresh and pretty coral with a cute and endearing name to match - Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick Caressing Coral!

Packaging: As you can see it is a shiny reflective cylindrical silver tube with the usual AVON name etched on the central band. The swivel mechanism of the tube works perfectly and the cap closes with a satisfying click so you know the lipstick is safe in your bag with no chance of the cap coming off accidentally. A sturdy, pretty lipstick tube- I like!
Shade/Colour: A coral with equal hints of pink and orange, so it is a shade that can be easily worn by all skintones without looking garish/neon/pale/washed-out. In short - one of the most perfectly balanced corals you'll come across! It is also a much cheaper and wearable dupe of MAC Crosswires, so yay!!!
Texture/Finish: It has a wet, juicy, translucent, glossy texture with sheer to medium coverage on lips that reminds me of the Lustre finish lipsticks by MAC. However, it also goes on quite creamy so with a few swipes any pigmentation on the lips is adequately covered. It is moderately hydrating and my lips don't feel dry even if I've been wearing it for 8 hours straight (for your reference, I have normal lips in summer and dry lips in winter). So it is a nice and comfortable lipstick to wear, makes my lips look smooth and plump!
Lasting Power: Since it is a creamy, glossy lipstick it doesn't last beyond 2 hours on my lips if I eat or drink, so reapplication is a must. However it is mildly staining and leaves a very pretty orangey-pink stain that lasts through drinks and non-oily food so wear-time is extended to 4 hours at the max. So you can choose whether to touch-up or not. Personally, I don't mind reapplying lipsticks and at this price point + the hydrating properties I really don't feel like complaining about the lasting power.
On the flip side: Application can be patchy and it can settle into lines if you have chapped lips. Also, because of its creamy texture it transfers easily, sometimes even onto the teeth.
To sum up: In my opinion, Avon Totally Kissable Lipstick Caressing Coral lives up to its name- it caresses and moisturises my lips with the most beautiful shade of coral making them look smooth, juicy and totally kissable! Here is how it looks on me-
Do I recommend? YES!!! If you are looking for a strikingly pretty yet wearable, comfortable and affordable coral lipstick then go get this. It won't disappoint!
