Australis AC ON TOUR Contouring and Highlighting Kit – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

The Australis AC ON TOUR Contouring and Highlighting Kit has been one of the most difficult products to get a hold of since its launch as it has been such a popular product, regularly being sold out both in store and online! I’ve heard some absolutely raving reviews on this product so I was very excited to try it out for myself!

Contouring and Highlighting has arguably become the two most popular makeup techniques over the last year or two and Australis was the first to introduce a low price point product to the market which is probably why everyone scrambled to get their hands on a palette, which many also compare to a similar, high end product from ABH.

The Australis AC ON TOUR Contouring and Highlighting Kit features 3 highlighting powders and 3 contouring powders, alongside step by step instructions on how to use each of the powders via a tutorial on the back of the palette.

Being quite fair, I’m able to use the first two shades (which are totally shimmer free) as setting powders for under my eye and anywhere else I’ve used a concealer to highlight as they blend translucent onto my skin but still highlight and brighten the area. The third shade is an absolutely gorgeous shimmery rose, champagne highlighter shade which I apply to my cheekbones and also to highlight the inner corner of my eyes. Shade 5 is the best fit for contouring on my skin and I use shade 4 and 6 as eyeshadow crease shades! As you can see, no matter your skin tone, this palette is multi use!

Each of the powders are buttery smooth and insanely pigmented so when using each of them, a little goes a very long way and it’s best to use a light hand which ensures you can then slowly build up to desirable level. The powders blend very nicely to achieve a noticeable, yet still natural look and I found that by first setting my base with powder and then applying the shades from the AC ON TOUR Kit, it aided even more in the blending process. This makes it perfect for novices (and professionals) to be able to achieve a perfect look with no trouble at all. There were no issues with longevity as the powers lasted impeccably throughout the day.

The Australis AC ON TOUR Contouring and Highlighting Kit retails for $16.95 and is available from the Australis Website, Priceline and Big W.
