We were THIS close to getting on the helicopter for a ride, but decided to maybe wait until Avrie is a little bit older. After about an hour of roaming we headed back for home to regroup and repack for lunch at the beach.
After getting situated and testing out the water, we quickly realized that we forgot beach toys, DOY!!! So Aaron quick ran home to grab a few things & chairs- another DOY!
[skippin' rocks!]While we waited for Aaron to get back, Avrie took a break from the water to drink her juice and eat her PB&J "sand"which, string cheese and applesauce. I don't think anything is easy to eat while sitting in the sand- bah haha I laugh thinking back to this. I was so annoyed by the sand getting into EVERY BITE!
We had such a great time just hanging out, soaking up the sun and playing in the water with Avrie! The best part, this beach is only 5 minutes from our house (if that) we MUST make more of an effort to get there on of the weekends spent at home in the Summertime. Even if for just an hour- it's too close to not!
Avrie had so much fun in the water we decided to spend the next day at Mom & Paul's pool.

This was a morning with just Aaron, Avrie and I as Mom and Paul were gone to the lake. Avrie had fun sporting her A-Vs, flip flips and relaxing in her kiddy pool!

The weekend before Labor Day we found ourselves back in Hayward. Nothing crazy to report here expect that we had another great weekend of BEAUTIFUL sunny weather. Is that getting old? I didn't think so!
In a nutshell: Dan & Heather were up for the weekend. Mom and I worked on a puzzle. The guys had a corn cob eating contest. Paul ALMOST won a brand new pontoon. AND we played a good game of SPOONS that lasted for at least 2 hours. Have you ever played this game, SO FUN(NY)!
As for Avrie, she had a great time fishing on the pontoon. Heck, I had a great time catching little fishies on Avrie's little pole! haha Aaron, Avrie and I went out for a little while, it was fun watching her be excited for the first two fish! After that she was kind of 'over it' and then it was ME that was excited for everything else we pulled in. Maybe I like fishing.... yeah but probably not... ;)
After another fun weekend and a great tan, we headed home & stopped to have ice cream for dinner...
Avrie was a fan!
