After introducing the new and improved version of the Nexus 7 and its bigger brother Nexus 10, Google slashed the price of the 16GB Nexus 7 down to $199. This made all the early adopters of Nexus 7 very angry because they had to pay $249 to get the device. To make peace with all those angry customers in Europe, ASUS is now handing out vouchers worth €30 (₤25 for UK).
People who got the Nexus 7 directly from ASUS and Google before October 29th are only lucky enough to get one of these vouchers. In order to receive a voucher you have to submit all the necessary info before November 30th and you will get the voucher by December 31st. According to Slash Gear, this voucher can be used to purchase anything you like at the ASUS online store.
New buyers can get the 32GB version of the Google Nexus 7 for $249 and the 16GB model for $199. Still no word about what happens to US buyers. But they will probably get a similar solution as well.
