Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Fire Science or Related Field. Five (5) or more years of firefighting experience on ARFF (Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting) at a FAR (Federal Aviation Requirement) Part 139 and/or DoD (Department of Defense) airport. Three (3) or more years of training, management and supervision experience on ARFF at a FAR Part 139 and/or DoD airport.
Licenses:
National Registry or State of Wisconsin EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). Class 1 Airfield Drivers License. Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License at the time of filing or must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire and maintained during incumbency is required.
Certifications:
Wisconsin State, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), Department of Defense (DoD), PRO-BOARD or another U.S. State: Fire Officer II, Emergency Services Instructor, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, and HAZMAT Incident Commander Certifications NIMS: ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800 Certificates
