It looks like Assassin's Creed: Rogue will be single-player only, with Ubisoft completely ditching it on last gen systems.
Gamingeverything is reporting that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is “single-player only”. The information is apparently taken from the latest issue of Game Informer.
Rogue stars a Templar named Shay Patrick Cormac. His story links to that of the Kenway family in Assassin’s Creed 3 and 4, and somehow ties into Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The game is set during The Seven Years’ War, which took place between 1754 and 1763.
Rogue launches in November on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
