Verdict on Assassin
Assassin is an action thriller following a wife of a soldier that finds herself wanting answers about what happened to her husband. However, she learns more about a shady organisation that is taking over bodies to complete assassinations. Although, this becomes a mission she isn’t prepared for.
This is a movie that feels a lot like ‘Possessor’ where we see somebody go into another body for an assassination attempt. While this is a lot smoother in the set up it focuses more on how it could have gone wrong if a known criminal gets their hands on the technology. It plays out as you would have imagined, without bringing too much freshness to the table. The performances are solid and being one of Bruce Willis’ final-ever roles feels like an anti-climax to his career.
Final Thoughts –Assassin is a late-night action movie 101.
