Aspire to Be an Entrepreneur? Aspire Magazine Hits the Newsstand

Aspire Entrepreneur Magazine AugustSomeone told me once that there’s two types of people in this world, Italians and those who want to be Italian. I’m not going to justify that with my thoughts but I can’t help but think it is a similar case with entrepreneurs in this environment. Entrepreneurs and those who want to be entrepreneurs.

I bet you have ideas in your head right now that you’ve dreamed of launching and ultimately selling to Warren Buffet or a group of Venture Capitalists from Silicon Valley. It might be a website, a mobile app or the newest and greatest social media platform.

[Personal story alert] I’ve had a few in my time including a website/social network for the girls that streamlines the whole ‘You’ve got to come around and check out my outfit!’. Throw in some crowdsourced opinions from the larger fashion community and a few celebrity chat episodes on a Friday evening and you’re away. That like many of my ideas saw a domain name registered and ……Yep, that was it.[/personal story]

We all want to be a successful entrepreneur but the road is tough and by it’s very definition lonely. We’re too enthusiastic to follow someone else’s lead but we still need to keep our own development ticking along before someone else steals that idea (I really could have come up with Pinterest).

Well I have a publication for you!

Aspire Magazine, started by one of our homegrown entrepreneurs Nick Broadhurst, has been launched and is feeding the creative and let’s be honest, the neurotic minds of entrepreneurs. It shares stories on marketing, social media, technology, success and startups. The feature articles so far in the first two months have been ‘How to Build an App Empire’ and ‘Confessions of a Media Manipulator’.

Targeted at entrepreneurs, Aspire can NOT be found in your local newsagent but you will find it in the iTunes Store.  In fact, it hit the iTunes charts with a bullet now sitting at #7 for the business category. Download a FREE trial of Aspire Magazine today and check out the Aspire Magazine website.

Keep an eye out for the Geek & Gadgets section. This tech geek will be reviewing products and highlighting What’s Hot. Thus far I’ve reviewed tablets and solar-powered chargers and introduced readers to mobile payment start-ups and AR technology.

If you would like me to review any products leave a comment and I’ll look into it for the next issue.
