As I Am - "Changing..." (Tame Impala "Apocalypse Dreams" Remix)

It was last week when As I Am dropped a new song/remix while the finishing touches are being put on his debut album, Simplicity. I say "song/remix" because this track kind of rides the line between the two. It heavily samples Tame Impala's incredible "Apocalypse Dreams"--one of my personal favorites from their 2012 album Lonerism (#3 on my top 50 albums list from that year you may recall.) But, it also takes the sample and flips it into a very different kind of song. "Changing..." is a heavily rhythmic song with lots of experimental electronic textures under the surface. It's a mix of high energy beats and psychedelic textures. The most interesting thing about it is how the words from Kevin Parker's pitched up vocal interact with the rest of the song. "Nothing ever changes ... Everything is changing." Listen to the song/remix below.
