Art Inspired Fashion – Weddings!

By Linsibrownson @CleverSpark

I should probably start by disclosing that I’ve never been a fan of tradition. In fact, from a very young age, I delighted in choosing an alternate path for everything possible. This was particularly annoying for my mother who just wanted to buy her favorite brand of laundry detergent – despite my insistent pleas that we try something different for once.

And so it has become somewhat of a personal trademark that I do things differently. It simply isn’t “me” if I haven’t put my own, quirky stamp on everything from making sandwiches to the way I park my car.

Thank you very much for your advice. Noted. But I’m doing it my way.

As a wardrobe coach, the same goes for how I plan wardrobes – or, how I make combinations, in general. If I were to have the privilege of helping a bride to plan her wedding party attire, I would strongly encourage her to 1.) find some conceptual inspiration instead of just choosing colors and 2.) go for something truly original.

Besides, who says bridesmaid dresses must match? Why not give each unique friend a unique dress?

Below is my interpretation of a great piece of art into a gorgeous palate for a bride who insists on doing things her way.
