Art Classes for Kids with Special Needs

Hey guys!! Remember when I blogged about how I would love to see the Columbia Association offer something for Special Needs kids? If not click here. Well they heard me. And they answered my call. There will be a NEW art class for children with Special Needs. This sounds fantastic. I am ever so grateful for the Columbia Association listening to moms like me. Please share this post. Share! Art Class Designed for Children 

with Special Needs

New! Each class will provide a small group of children an opportunity to enjoy a multi-sensory experience. Create cards, ornaments, sculptures, and accessories using clay, fabric, paper, and recycled materials. Classes will be based on a story book or theme that will be tailored to the child’s special abilities.

Classes will help participants create art plus learn life skills, social skills, problem-solving and motor skills, time management and confidence building. Seats are limited so enroll now! Prerequisites: Non-aggressive, enjoy working in groups and capable of independent work with close supervision.

Ages 7-9 Tuesdays, June 24-July 15, 4:30-5:15pm (4 sessions) Ages 9-11 Thursdays, June 26-July 17, 4:30-5:15pm (4 sessions) $45 Residents/$55 Non-Residents
