Armchair BEA: An Introduction

By Theliteraturelion @LiteratureLion
I have to admit. I decided TODAY that I was going to be doing Armchair BEA. Actually, I decided just like an hour ago that I was going to be blogging again, and then another 25 minutes ago when I decided I was going to be joining in on the Armchair BEA fun. I had done it previous years, and I'm hoping to continue doing it until I can actually attend BEA!
Armchair BEA: An Introduction
So there are five questions that I can answer for this, and I'm super excited for it! Let's get started!
1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?I'm Alexis, but most people know me as Lexi. I'm a 16-year-old girl, but I'm going to be 17 in August. Yeah, I'm quite a young person. I love things such as my pets, my boyfriend, friends, Doctor Who, interior designing, graphic designing, writing, and the color blue. I've had my blog since April 2011, but trust me - there was A LOT of breaks in there. In reality, I've been blogging for about 1.5 years, compared to the 2 years that I've had my blog. I honestly don't even remember what was the deciding factor when it came to blogging. I just loved reading, talking about books, and doing graphic designing. That somehow led to me making my blog!
2. What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2013?I just recently finished Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, and I absolutely loved it. I currently started Taken by Erin Bowman, but haven't gotten very far into it. Other favorites this year include This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer Smith, The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead, Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger, Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys, Origin by Jessica Khoury, and Just One Day by Gayle Forman.
3. Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you. I have a passion for fashion. That may be a cliche when I say that, but it's honestly true. I love getting ready in the morning, and I'm notorious for sitting on Pinterest in the morning pinning outfits and getting inspiration for things to wear.
4. If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why? If I could eat dinner with any author it would be Cassandra Clare. I feel like she would be so fun to converse with it would just make my day. If I could eat dinner with any character, it would probably be Katy from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. We'd probably spend more time talking about books than actually eating.
5. What is your favorite part about the book blogging community?Everyone has the same passions, so it's easy to talk with people. Also, I feel like everyone is your friend because you have similar passions!
So that's it for my Armchair BEA Introductions! Stay tuned for the rest of my Armchair BEA posts!
