Verdict on Argylle

Argylle is an action-adventure comedy following a spy novelist dragged into a real spy mission. Her books have been seen as a bit of a prediction of actual events and she has been recruited to reveal more of the truth. However, not everything is as it seems and now everyone wants to know who her mysterious leading man is named after.

This is a fun movie which gets to play into the spy genre with great comedic effect. From the opening chase sequence to the idea, not everything is glitz and glamour in the spy world. It looks to break the handsome muscular spy stereotype with Sam Rockwell’s excellent performance. However, it does fall into the trap of wanting to have too many twists along the way. outside of that factor, everything is fun, including an exceptionally entertaining final shootout.

Final ThoughtsArgylle is a blast, great tunes, fun story and entertaining time.
