Livingheath TV is up and live!
I am excited to introduce to you the newest and hottest Health and Wellness Educational channel on the world wide web: Livinghealth TV.
For me, this project is a major milestone in my dream to find ways to communicate health information in ways the man on the street can understand. I did my thesis in University on the use of ICT in medicine. One of the things we found out was that health is the second most searched topic online after entertainment. There is a whole lot of information online about health. But sadly, a lot of this information in unintelligent to the majority of the population. There are many outright dangerous and deadly information presented and consumed as facts. From the African perspective, a lot of the health information you find online is designed by the western world to be consume by the western world.
We are delighted to bring you the very first Pidgin English Web Health Show. Area Doctor with Dr Gbenga Adebayo premiers on Livinghealth TV! Our very first episode is to educate you our esteemed audience on what Ebola is and how it is transmitted: all in Pidgin English.
We dedicate this episode to the memory of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh whose valiant efforts has greatly helped in limiting the scourge of the disease in NIgeria.
