Catholic World News reports, Jan. 9, 2014, that Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo, the Syrian Catholic archbishop of Hassaké-Nisibi, is sounding the alarm  that even so-called "moderate" rebel factions in the ongoing Syrian civil war intend to turn the country into an Islamist state.

Hindo told the Fides news agency, “Christians will be glad if the so-called revolution opens the path to democracy and freedom.

A Catholic Archbishop in Syria says that even so-called "moderate" rebels in the country's civil war say they intend to install a Sharia State, thereby proving that we were right in resisting Obama's call for a U.S. war to topple the Assad regime. Had we let him, Syria would now be another Islamic theocracy, and we know what would happen to Christians there! ~Eowyn
