The April #LFBEAUTYBOX is themed as 'Natural Beauty' and contains natural makeup, hair and skincare products.
To start off, I love how pretty the box is. It's peach and gold and white and beautiful, I just love it haha I'm probably more excited by the box than the contents! I like to use these to store nail polishes, eyeslashes, press clippings, photographs and all of that yeehaw, so I'm loving how pretty it is.
Moving on to the actual contents. I filmed a first impressions/unboxing video on my Youtube channel so feel free to check that out.
First up, was the Laura Geller Balance & Brighten foundation. This has a marble effect throughout, which has different shades. It reminded me a bit of the Max Factor Baked blushers to look at. The shade I received was 'Fair' which is definitely on the darker side of fair. I had a wee look on the Laura Geller website and this comes in 5 shades so I think for the super pale people like me or people who have dark complexions, this might not give you your perfect shade.  In terms of coverage and texture, this has a glowy matte light to medium coverage which feels really soft and velvety. I would be tempted to reach for this on fake tan days but aside from that, I wasn't overly impressed with it.
Next up are a few skincare products. The box included a Omorovicza Budapest (I still can't promounce that word, so if you watch the video, I apologise! haha!)Foam Cleanser. I would say this is quite gentle but still does the job. I would use this on days where I want to cleanse my skin after wearing base foundation but I'm not sure this is so great for eye makeup. To be fair, it doesn't claim to be! This definitely does what it says on the back and I would be tempted to buy the full size version.
Also included in the box is the Madara Smart Skin Antioxidant Day Fine Line Minimising Cream. This has quite a highly fragranced smell, but it's a really nice scent. The cream contains Lichen, Moss and Alchemilla and just feels very 'green' on the skin. By that I mean I feel like my skin is getting a good organic, natural moisture surge! This is very creamy and take a bit of working into the skin but it's worth it. This left my skin feeling really soft and smooth. It's the perfect primer for makeup and it didn't irritate my psoriasis whatsoever. Bonus!
Onto HAND SANITISER!! Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a thing about keeping my hands clean. A pen mark, a swatch, anything at all on my hands makes me want to loose my shiz, so the fact that the April #LFBEAUTYBOX contained a Hand sanitiser made me very happy haha! This is by Merci Handy and is in the scent 'love and'. When I smelled this, it reminded me of a summers night in a cocktail bar by the beach. It also has little moisturing beads in it so it's not overly drying on the hands. Win!
Moving onto a This Works item is the Perfect Legs Skin Miracle. This has a gold shimmery tone to it and would be amazing for accentuating a tan or making the legs look glossy. I'm not a fake tan lover so this is making it's way into my 'holiday miniatures' box for when I go to Florida and will hopefully get a bit of sun.
Lastly for skincare is the Vitamasques Pomegranate Sheet Mask. I prefer sheet masks to cream masks because they're not as messy. This one has a triple layer sheet technology which is designed to lock in the moisture content within the mask and lead to an increased absorption rate within the skin.  This definitely fits the bill. I was impressed with it although I was unsure of how long to leave it on so left it for 15 minutes before removing and rinsing. I loved how soft my skin felt but I really didn't want to throw this away!! I wish it was reusable somehow haha!
For the final product, we go to haircare. The Alterna Caviar CC Cream is a cream to add to your hair once it has been washed. I had a wee look online to see what this boasts, and it is free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates and synthetic color. It Contains no paraffin, gluten, mineral oil or petrolatum. All good! I used this on the ends of my hair and it really softened my hair and made it feel like I'd just been at the salon. I'd be tempted to buy this in full size (and check out the rest of the range!)
So that's it for the April #LFBEAUTYBOX. Have you tried it out?
