Cooking class in the month of April was all about using up that leftover Easter ham! I was able to attend with Avrie as my sidekick on the 8th. My friend Lo was also able to attend this night! It was so fun having her back, just shy of a year later- she came to two classes last year. Tuesday night has become a pretty regular group, so new & FUN faces are always welcome!

Lo and I were the last to arrive, so her and I were in charge of making the Chicken Cordon Bleu. While doing so, I picked up a really easy and QUICK method for breading chicken to bake. I have already used it for dinner here at home. The easy method is coating chicken with a mixture of egg white, water & lemon juice. Then rolling into crushed corn flakes w/ any seasoning of choice. Aaron and Avrie were huge fans- I will need to make it again soon!

This month we used Wildtree's Italian Dressing Mix for our seasoning blend. We included it in each dish prepared. This blend added just the right amount of zesty Italian flavor! Our menu being; Chicken Cordon Bleu, an Italian dressed dinner salad with Ham & Swiss. I have also already made this salad at home, it was the prefect side for our deep fried turkey night a couple weeks ago! Also on the menu for class was an Italian Mac & Cheese w/ Broccoli as packed with flavor. The final menu item was a Baked Ham & Asparagus Dip- anything that accompanies crunchy bread is good in my book- this was no exception. YUM!

After oooh-ing and ahhh-ing a delicious meal we all somehow found some room for dessert; Blender Chocolate Mousse. This frozen, whipped and deliciously smooth treat, was. awesome! Being that I was SO full I was unable to finish it. Now, had I known this was waiting for me in the freezer, I would have skipped seconds on the salad making more room for dessert. I need to remember that the dessert is always good "must ALWAYS save room for dessert!"

The second class, sounds like it went just as well as the first and also with another new face, yah!!
With warmer weather and more daylight into the night we tend to see a few new faces each month. Let's keep them coming! If you have always wanted to try about a cooking class, let this be one to try- we'd love to have you AND there is always wine w/ hilarious conversation never to be spared.
For the month of May we will be experimenting with food to share at your next Mexican Fiesta!! It should be muy delicioso!! I hope you will be joining us! Classes will be Tuesday 5/13 & Wednesday 5/21.
