AppTag, the awesome gadget that turns your iPhones and Android phones into a cool laser tag gun sight has just received an upgrade, making it better than ever. The AppTag has been upgraded with Bluetooth 4 low energy and a whole lot of new features to allow you to virtually play against thousands of players.
When mounted on the back of a laser tag gun, the augmented reality laser tag game made by HEX3 basically turns any iPhone or an Android phone into a heads-up display showing awesome laser effects, targets and turns your real-world surroundings into an amazing gaming environment. New AppTag 2 now features better real time screen updates as well as a Gyroscope, magnetometer and an accelerometer.

AppTag 2 still needs some help from you guys to “update the electronics and all the Apps.” The development team is now collecting funds for the AppTag 2 over at Kickstarter. You could get a two-player pack of AppTag 2 before anyone else by making a $55 pledge, while helping the project reach its’ $25,000 goal.
