With only few days left for the Apple’s iPhone 5C, 5S unveil event on September 10th, reports are now coming in from a reporter for The Wall Street Journal that suggests Apple is working on a phablet. Ian Sherr, the WSJ reporter shared this news via his Twitter account mentioning that “Apple testing iPhone screens as large as six inches.”

BREAKING: Apple testing iPhone screens as large as six inches, sources say. Screen size not expected for new devices this month. Story soon.

So far, Apple stayed unchanged on the market with only one smartphone model, while slightly improving it’s features and size over time. But, with the way things going in the current mobile market and with phablets joining mainstream trends, Apple might as well jump in with a new, bigger device. However, BGR suggests it could also be just a bigger iPhone. Maybe the iPhone 6?

I’m not a fan of big screens but I’m sure there will be plenty who would find this news exiting. But, as Ian said in his tweet, don’t expect to see this device anytime soon.
