Objective-C was created by Brad Cox and Tom Love in 1983, Apple has use the code to develop apps for more than for 20 years. To suit with modern technology, the old programming code certainly have some
limitation on speed, visual and feature.

A similar move as Microsoft create their own programming code to support the development of windows operating system. During the latest WWDC 2014 (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference), Apple announce Swift as their new programming language to replace
objective-C. To sustain the compatibility on existing apps and devices, Swift adopts safe programming patterns and adds modern features to make programming easier and more friendly to new programmers.
