Apple’s iPad Mini:

As far as features are concerned, this smart gadget is comprised of two cameras at its front and back respectively. The software is designed uniquely, as interactivity and usability standards are focused more than anything else. It is beautiful, simple, and attractive. The major problem of iPad Mini is a cost factor because if you increase storage, the price will vary too. Keep in mind that the price varies from storage to storage i.e. $429 for 32 GB, $529 for 64 GB, and the list goes on. Similarly, 4G LTE models are very expensive too.

 Amazon’s Kindle Fire:

Kindle Fire is the only device, which can facilitate you with the maximum number of movies, entertainment shows, latest literature, and all types of music. Moreover, if you are a subscribed customer, then you need to pay only $79 per year to enjoy streaming videos and e-books on rent.

As far as drawbacks of Kindle Fire are concerned, the first thing, which strikes everyone’s mind, is the choice of applications on Kindle Fire as compared to iPad Mini, which is not as smooth as in iPad Mini. Developers have created hardware of Kindle Fire quite heavy than all other tablets along with very small display screen. The most annoying factor of Kindle Fire is its hidden costs, which include $15 for removal of advertisements from lock screen and $10 for the charger.

Barnes & Noble’s Nook:

The most interesting fact regarding B&N Nook is its hardware. 7-Inch display of Nook is very sharper than all other tablets, which provides best resolution of 1440 X 900. As far as weight is concerned, it is very lighter than Kindle Fire, but a bit heavier than iPad Mini. Due to the maximum storage capacity, it allows the users to load their own movies, shows, games, and other entertainment material with ease. The best part is that the parents can put restrictions on their children effectively for the better privacy, as Nook facilitates the user with registered account feature.

Similar to Kindle Fire and iPad Mini, B&N Nook also has few disadvantages. The major drawback of Nook is its limited application feature. This means if you are playing any game like Angry Birds, you need to pay $4 for it but on many other gadget, you can enjoy free versions of this game as well, which is not possible in case of this smart gadget.

Which Device is Better?

Although, every gadget has its own pros and cons, and one should select the device based on his requirements and budget. However, Kindle Fire and Nook can be taken in to consideration instead of iPad Mini because of two main factors, which are as follows:

  • iPad Mini costs $329 whereas Kindle Fire and Nook cost $199 only. Therefore, difference of more than $100 means a lot for the people, who are looking for economical gadgets to buy.
  • No High-Definition Retina Display is available in iPad Mini. This makes quality of iPad lower, especially for reading e-books and watching movies. However, both Kindle Fire and Nook facilitate the users with high-definition and sharp displays.

Thus, you can say that based on cost and High-Definition Retina Display, every tech-savvy individual should purchase either Kindle Fire or Nook instead of Apple iPad Mini.
