Apple likely to launch three models in 2020 with 5g support: reports

First redesign to Apple models since 2017 also expected in new models

Reports of iPhone launching 5g phones in 2020 are not new and have surfaced time and again over the last twelve months. Nikkei reports have suggested that Apple will launch three phones in 2020 and that all of them will support 5g. The latest reports, however, have something new for the Apple users, new reports suggest the new iPhones will come with Qualcomm 5G modem and 5-nanometer chips.

Reportedly the new phones will run on Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem and a next-generation processor of Apple. The next-generationprocessors are likely to be called A14. It will be built using 5-nanometerchip technology.

If true, the nanometer technology is expected to improve the performance of devices as the lower nanometer usage results are expected to improve and enhancethe performance of smartphones. Initially, giants of the industry manufactured chips using 14 nanometers and gradually shifted to 10 nanometers to 7 nanometers.

Apple will be the first smartphone manufacturer with 5 nanometers technology

Apple with 5 nanometers technology chips can well be the first smartphone manufacturer to release the phone with this technology. Apple’s market rival Huawei is also reportedly working on the same technology. It has planned to release a phone with 5 nanometers. Going by the reports Huawei might also release the phone with this technology at the same time of the year in 2020.

iPhone enthusiasts can also expect Apple to redesign its flagship models for the first time since 2017. In addition, phones are also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

With reports of Apple launching three models next year. But, rumors also have it that the company might also launch a fourth model. This is likely to cost less than its flagship phones, if true, it is expected to be launched in early 2020.
