Sleep is highest on my agenda these days. I am quite disciplined when it comes to sleep because if I don’t get enough, the proverbial bear with a sore head. My family tell me I am not pleasant to be around. At least, not for the first hour upon waking… I wasn’t always this way, so there is hope! I go to sleep with my iPod, listening to soothing sounds of waves breaking on the beach with subliminal anti-anxiety hypnotherapy to keep me calm (I know, the irony), I wear an eye mask in the manner of Holly Golightly (mine is not as pretty as hers, mine is one swiped from Qantas business class, but it works) and lately I’ve been wearing ear plugs because there is a colony of fruit bats that make ridiculously way too much noise at dawn, and then there is some random dog that barks intermittently but continually too… I’m exhausted already!
