As cliche as it sounds, this is the season of thanksgiving. A season where we’re reminded of all that the Lord has blessed us with…and so I’m beginning a new project.
Project: Thankful.
60 days of intentional thanksgiving.
So often I find myself going through the motions everyday, giving thanks here and there but never actually focusing on a single thing with which I’ve been blessed. I’m hoping that this will be the push I need to find one thing to be thankful for each and every day. No matter how big or small. Whether it’s a crummy day or a day filled with laughter, there is always something to be joyful about and thankful for. When I was thinking of this project, 1 Thessalonians 5:16 came to mind almost immediately:
In all circumstances we are to be thankful. All circumstances. Every. Single. One.
And so, day 1:
Thankful for the way, the truth, and the life. Thankful that God’s plan is so much greater than we could ever imagine for ourselves. Thankful for the promise of eternal life.
