The recipient of the Goedeker's Annual Public Service Scholarship 2nd Honorable Mention is Elaine R. Santiago.
Elaine is a public servant. In addition to serving in the Army, she is a Corrections Officer and a USO volunteer. She is also a Civil Air Patrol Ground Search Team member, and she works with an organization that maintains Colorado trails and campsites.
A little about Elaine: I am currently deployed to Kuwait. I'm attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University working towards my degree in aviation business management. Being in the military has strengthened my desire to help others, especially those who have supported me through my five deployments.
We are proud to give this award to Elaine and we thank her for her service.
