HP Touchpads are selling like hot cake everywhere. Amazon listed HP Touchpad as #1 selling product for the last two days. And almost all retailer websites which are selling HP Touchpad are getting overloaded by tablet enthusiasts. All websites are going out of stock within minutes of listing it at the fire sale price of $99.
If you still haven’t got one and want to get, you are try your luck in few days. HP just announced that more HP Touchpads would be out in market and to all retailers within few days.
Besides being a cheap dual core tablet and having the discontinued WebOS pre-installed, the major reason why people are buying this tablet is, its ability to run Android or even iOS.
Within few hours Android communities started buzzing with a team of developers who announced that they would be working on porting Android Gingerbread or Honeycomb on this tablet soon. There even is a $1500 bounty for anyone who can get a working version of Android OS on the touchpad.
Videos started surfacing internet which claim to have successfully run Android on HP’s most sold tablet.

CyanogenMod Team Gets Android Running on HP TouchPad
CyanogenMod team has successfully ported a CyanogenMod 7 firmware to the TouchPad.
For those who don’t know Cyanogen, it is a Custom Android firmware based on the source code for Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
Cyanogen team has been known for their brilliant custom ROM they developed which build a very big community of Android users and enthusiasts installing Cyanogen ROMs on their devices.
