At the new Nexus 7 unveiling event, Google released the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which brings several new features to Android devices. This new update is not a very big improvement of the current Jelly Bean but it’s more like a minor upgrade in its’ missed-out features.

Main and the best new feature in this Android update is the Restricted profiles for tablets. Just like the name suggests this allows you to manage “per-user access to apps and content”. Which Gizmodo points out as a great feature that lets parents to control apps and contents on a shared tablet.

In addition, Accelerated 3D graphics with OpenGL ES 3.0 in Android 4.3 said to bring “photorealism to a whole new level in the games” according to Official Android blog. New update also includes Bluetooth Smart technology that minimizes power usage while measuring and transmitting data, allowing to connect with low-power devices like fitness gadgets.

The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean also has an improved dial pad with the ability autocomplete when dialing numbers by suggesting names or contacts on the phone.  Most of the features in Android 4.3 were specifically aimed at improving the feel in the new Nexus 7. However Google promised to roll out the new Android update to other Nexus devices and Google Play edition devices soon.
