Finding the best mobile OS has always been a herculean task, even for the experts as each of those platform offered unique features that stood up for itself. However, according to a new study done by Crittercism there is finally a winner and it’s Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat.
Using more than 2500 different devices to test out 106 mobile operating systems, the Crittercism research found that KitKat is more stable than any other OS with a crash rate of only 0.7 percent. Which was a massive improvement compared to the 1.6 percent crash rate of iOS 7.1 and 2.1 crash rate of iOS 7.0. The research also discovered that Samsung devices performed better than others with lowest crash rates.

There you go. You finally have an answer to the debated question. After years of perfection, Android finally won the battle. But, what about tablets? Android has very few Tablet optimized apps on Google Play, while iOS offer thousands of apps just for iPads. And more importantly, the study doesn’t tell us which apps they used for these tests. So, how can we be sure about the results?
