French artist Bernard Pras creates his art by assembling objects and anamorposis, a visual illusion where a distorted projection that can only be viewed from a specific vantage point to show the artwork correctly. This practice is commonly used by street artist that work on the floor, sidewalks or pavements. Bernard’s latest piece, a portrait of Malian actor Sotigui Kouyaté, is comprised of numerous objects including clothes, paint, wood, rubber, and other objects Bernard could re-use and upcycle. Only when viewed through the lens of his camera is the image clearly visible. Pras is currently at the MazelGalerie in Brussels, Belgium.
