An Invented Synesthetic Alphabet

The image above is taken from the Takeluma Project, an art installation created by designer Peter Cho, that captures the way the sounds of words can elicit visceral responses.  The project’s name is a nod to the famous Maluma/Takete experiment conducted by psychologist Wolfgang Köhler in 1929, which gave merit to the concept of sound symbolism.
