AMD Launches New Processor with 12-Cores for Affordable Gaming Laptops

AMD’s new 6th generation A-Series Carrizo chip features four processing cores and eight Radeon R7 FX-8800P graphics cores. The new chip enables better battery life with 2X video playback times on the battery and better gaming. Enhanced support for Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 10 is also highlighted for this chip.

Another surprising new features is the chip’s native support for the next-gen HEVC/H.265 video format, available for notebooks for the first time. This will allow users to play and stream high quality video at lower bandwidths.

Despite all these great features, the new chip has been launched to support mid-range laptops and notebooks to bring better visuals and gaming experience at affordable prices.
