Unconsolable – Ambassadors

One word can describe new song “Unconsolable” from Brooklyn’s Ambassadors: powerful. The anthem-like track begins with a tribal drum beat, yelled vocals, and bass that feels like it’s half a decibel away from coming right out of the speakers. When the chorus kicks in, synthesized horns and background vocals complete the circle of commanding sound. The percussion set-up and harmonizing voices in “Unconsolable” make me want to compare Ambassadors to Local Natives, if Local Natives listened to a lot more hip-hop.
