Washington-native Soul and R&B singer Allen Stone packed The Apollo Theater last week. The show was a part of the Radius tour, in celebration for Stone’s latest album, Radius.
Stone, “the hippie with soul,” was extremely excited to be playing at The Apollo Theater. “This is the Apollo,” he told the crowd, “My band and I have been dreaming of playing at this venue since we started playing music. This show means a lot to us”
Stone and his band put on a moving set, they delivered so much energy and love. The audience responded enthusiastically, the whole Apollo was out of the seat, dancing and singing from the beginning to the end. Setlist from the night included new tunes from Radius: Freedom, Upside, Perfect World, Love, Freezer Burn and tunes from the previous albums: Unaware, Satisfaction, Celebrate Tonight, American Privilege, Say So.
Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Bernhoft was the supporting act. He put on an impressive opening set and later joined Stone on stage for singing “Unaware.”
