After going through a lot of rumors and speculations, we finally had the chance to officially learn about Sony’s next-gen gaming console, PlayStation 4. Despite the fact that we didn’t get to see the console itself, it was still big news for all the gaming fans. And, now we have some amazing news from Sony that could actually change the future of gaming for good.

Worldwide Studios President at Sony, Shuhei Yoshida says that all the upcoming PlayStation 4 game titles will arrive as digital downloads.

“We’re shifting our platform more and more to the digital side – PS4 will be similar to PS Vita in that every game will be available as a digital download, and some will also be available as a disc.”  Yoshida stated talking Guardian. He also mentioned about possible subscription models “we can have more small games that might be free or available for a couple of dollars, or different services like free-to-play or subscription models.”

This is amazing news for all we gamers. This means that all those times waiting in lines outside stores to get our hands on a Call of Duty game will finally be over. We will have the chance to download any game at the moment it launches, while  sitting on a couch eating pop corn.  How awesome would that be.
