The brownies got a lot of interest on Twitter & Instagram, and rightly so as they were absolutely amazing! I urge you to give the recipe a whirl. You'll find it here: https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/recipes/recipes-by-category/sweet-treats/
It was super quick to make & really easy. We wrapped up a few pieces in parchment paper, sealed with pretty washi tape & delivered to our neighbours who also thoroughly enjoyed them! We got a thank you card through the door that evening addressed to 'the future winners of The Great British Bake Off'!!
Aldi have revamped their range of baking ingredients 'The Pantry' in anticipation of the 'Mary Berry' effect. The fifth series of Great British Bake Off has just concluded, and it's certainly inspired me & my little ones. The kids & I have been watching the series on demand (the 8pm time slot is too late for them) and they've thoroughly enjoyed it. Eldest's favorite was Martha and he was devastated when she got knocked out.
The new Aldi lines include cupcake cases, milk and dark chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows. Glacé cherries, figs and dates will also launch as part of Aldi’s winter seasonal range.
‘The Pantry’ range already includes products such as Wholemeal Crusty Bread Mix, Lemon Juice and Chocolate Sprinkles.
I headed to Aldi on Glasgow High Street last week and was amazed at all the ingredients I managed to purchase with my £20 voucher. Fantastic value & great quality too.
We made the peanut butter brownies that I mentioned at the start of this post, cherry and almond cupcakes and we had a GBBO-inspired cake decorating competition with icing, chocolate chips & marshmallows!
I was given a £20 voucher for Aldi to buy ingredients for this post, as always opinions are honest & are my own.
