Daniel Feldman and Tim Sommers of the retro New Wave duo Airplane Man go all-out Eighties on their new single Borderline, a blatantly commercial good time song about feeling down. Besides lifting the title of a Madonna classic there are traces of Depeche Mode and Propaganda after Nintendo's Mario's catch phrase "Here We Go" kicks things off. Riding the coat tails of the film adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel Ready Player One the duo pictures a 64 bits version of a bygone era. Falsetto vocals, escapism from a dystopian world, it's all there and more.
