This Qatar A380 was spotted at Frankfurt Airport, one of ten operated by the flag carrier of Qatar.  Qatar Airways has an oryx, the national animal of the State of Qatar, painted on the tail.  The world’s largest passenger airliner, the A380 made its first flight in April 2005 and began commercial service with Qatar Airways in 2014.  The airline has announced plans to retire them in 2024 and replace with Boeing 777X aircraft.  In February 2019, Airbus announced it will end the A380 production by 2021, after its main customer, Emirates, agreed to drop an order for 39 of the aircraft.
