SFO, Air New Zealand,@  San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco, CA

March 2014

I happened to be at SFO with my handy Sony RX-100 and saw this -400 sitting on the ramp  Air New Zealand’s 747-400 fleet has been reduced over recent years from eight to two aircraft and will be retired in 2014.  The Air New Zealand symbol is a Māori koru. It is a stylised representation of a fern frond unfolding, and signifies new life, growth and renewal.   The most notable distinguishing features of the Dash 400 are the winglets, and a two-man cockpit, dispensing with the Flight Engineer position.  Sony RX-100 with in-camera HDR, additional processing with iPhoto.
