On a walk home from work in the dark last week, i jarred my back to such an extent that I needed heavy medication and time off work (sorry boss), but worse than that it has meant a few days of virtually no moving about, followed by another could of just limited walking, thankfully things are now back to their old, achy self (I'm used to back pain, this was worse than I have experienced in years though.
After a Week Off
Finally, yesterday, I felt up to a short walk around the patch, not wanting to push things too hard, i took my time, it was just great to be out breathing fresh air once more, and listening to the sounds of the approaching winter months.
Views over the center of the reserve, now with freshly cut willows (nice to be able to see things again)
I can't say the patch was alive with birds, or that there was an exciting variety of wildlife to be seen but what was there was made all the sweeter after having a week stuck doing not very much. It was also great to get a few miles walking under the belt once more, I've still got some way to go, and an ever decreasing amount of time to get there.
Rather than blather on more today, I will just share a few photos of my walk for you to, hopefully, enjoy, oh and remind you that voting for the Go Outdoors awards end tomorrow, so if you haven't already, and you like this blog, I'd still love a vote.
