I was going to feature something from his classic 'Elvis' Christmas Album' from 1957, but who can deny the simple genius of The King's uber-cool version of 'Winter Wonderland'? This wonderfully upbeat take on the festive standard fills me with joy every time I hear it. It comes from 'Elvis sings The Wonderful World Of Christmas', Elvis' second and final Christmas album which was released in October 1971. Although it did not have the commercial appeal of Elvis’ first Christmas album, it was a top seller and topped the Billboard Holiday Albums Chart, and would have charted high on the Billboard 200 but from 1963 to 73 Holiday albums were not allowed to chart.
