Samsung unveiled their very cheap Chromebook last month for just $249. It came with reasonably great specs and features compared to its’ price. But now Acer has also launched a new Chromebook named Acer C7 for just $199 by teaming up with Google to challenge Samsung in the Chromebook battle.
Acer C7 specs and features – :
- Processor - Intel Celeron 847 processor
- RAM - 2GB DDR3
- Display - 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution
- Storage - 100 GB Google Drive Cloud Storage with 320 GB HDD
- Battery - 3.5 hours of battery
- Thickness / Weight - 1 inch thin – 1.4 kg
- Other features - 3x USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI, 1.3-MP HD Camera
Price seems really cheap. But sadly, so as the specifications. Intel Celeron processors are well-known for very poor performance. And the limited amount of battery life is also going to be a problem with this new Chromebook. For an additional $50 bucks you could get the Samsung Chromebook with even greater specs.
There’s no doubt that Samsung’s Chromebook is far more better than Acer C7 when it comes with a dual-core processor, 6.5 hour battery and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity. But still, choice is yours.
