Aberdeen: PhD Scholarships in Philosophy of Science

The University of Aberdeen is offering a number of PhD scholarships in Philosophy of Science, two for uptake in 2013 and two for uptake in 2014. Applications are invited for work in philosophy of physics, philosophy of biology (including neuroscience), general philosophy of science, philosophy of medicine and related areas. Projects with the potential for cross-collaboration with other areas in philosophy, with the history of science, or with the sciences themselves, are welcome. The philosophy of science is an area of particular strength at the University of Aberdeen, which also hosts the Centre for History and Philosophy of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHPSTM).
Each award consists of a full fee waiver (three years of full-time PhD study at the Home/EU or Overseas student rate as appropriate) and an annual maintenance stipend of £3,600 in each of three years of full-time study.
