Ab Fab’s Joanna Lumley to Auction Her ‘Patsy Stone’ Wardrobe to CharityHey Ab Fab fans, Joanna Lumley, who played the original fashionista, Patsy Stone is auctioning off her Absolutely Fabulous wardrobe for the Prince’s Trust charity on November 13.  Included in the auction will be Dolce & Gabbana; a pair of Costume National houndstooth trousers; an Alexander McQueen vest top; and a Joseph polka-dot top and faux leather skirt – with each item pegged to the episode in which it appeared.

Also included in the auction will be items she wore playing other roles, like Purdey in The New Avengers and Marie Jouyet in The Trail of the Pink Panther,  as well as personal items, including a pink Chanel suit she wore when lobbying for the Gurkhas at the Palace of Westminster and the Betty Jackson suit she wore to the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005.

Lumley was quoted, saying “I am giving up some of my greatest treasures and happiest memories.  I am so thrilled to think that the proceeds will all go to benefit young people through one of my all-time favorite charities – The Prince’s Trust. I love each item and each garment with a passion.”

Finding out the news about this upcoming auction, I couldn’t help but check out some of my favorite Patsy moments on YouTube.  Yes, most of the outfits did not stand the test of time, but Ab Fab will always be a classic.
