Hernandez, a tight end for the New England Patriots had his life on track. He played alongside Rob Gronkowski and the pair of them connected with each other and the team like it was a choreographed dance. They are the first pair of tight ends in NFL history to catch five touchdown passes in consecutive seasons with the same team. Then on June 18, 2013 a shock wave hit the internet, papers, and magazines. Every person was shocked, every Patriot fan, including my boyfriend who is an insanely loyal and loving Patriot fan, was left with a confused look on their face. Aaron Hernandez was being investigated in connection with a murder. The murder of what some sources call an associate, others say it was a friend. The police had search warrants which means they had proof that something was awry. They spent hours there and found that Hernandez had destroyed his home surveillance videos. His cell phone was given to police in pieces. It only took a matter of time for the arrest to occur because things were not looking great for him. During this investigation he was banned from practicing with the Patriots or showing up to camp.An NFL star tight end for a great football team who had everything going for him, and he allegedly murders someone. What on earth was he thinking? On June 26, 2013, Hernandez was taken into custody, cuffed, and arrested. There have not been any formal charges but he did destroy what could be considered evidence and he could also get obstruction of justice. Those are just the beginning in my opinion. Everything will come out in the end. The body was discovered one mile from his home, in a park, shot in the head. Sources say the victim, Odin Lloyd, was a semi- pro football player who played for the Boston Bandits and was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee.
Hernandez is also facing a lawsuit where he shot another man in the face during a dispute in Miami at a strip club. What is wrong with him? He just signed a 5 year deal with the Patriots for $40 million dollars and he just throws it all away? Do you know what he could have become if he stayed on course with that team? He's only 23 years old and he will probably never see the light of day again. He was going to be something amazing. Obviously he has a problem with guns and violence. As of right now, all the documents related to the case, even the search warrants, are sealed.
