Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to drive the Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring around San Antonio. One of my first thoughts was that I had to take to explore the Missions and next up on my list (because there are 5 of them) was Mission San Juan. 
The mission was founded in 1716 originally as San Jose de los Nazonis, but was unsuccessful. The remains were transferred to its present location and re-established in 1931 as Mission San Juan Capistrano, right on the east bank of the San Antonio River, located inside Loop 410 off Presa.Using the Mazda Navigation system, it was super easy to get to. There are even colorful images for landmarks to help you find them. The kids loved seeing the miniature mission on the screen!
Another great feature when driving the Mazda CX-5 is the blind spot monitoring in the side view mirrors! This is helpful in any situation, but especially when navigating a new area of town.
With the perfect placement of USBs, Bose surround sound, Bluetooth for hands-free driving and a sunroof, I was really in love with this crossover. 
Back to the mission, we went on a little photo walk. San Juan has the iconic 3-bell tower, which still functions and a chapel that still holds church service. 
Behind the church is the Yanaguana Trail, a 1/3 mile walking trail along the San Antonio river with observation platforms and boardwalks. No bikes allowed on this trail, but it's a great way to see the environment that is reminiscent of the earlier days of the mission.
