A Time of Recharging at the Ocean

Psalm 69:34

Let heaven and earth praise Him,
The seas and everything that moves in them.
In the hustle and bustle of homeschooling, it's easy for Moms to forget about their relationship with God.     It's necessary that we take time everyday to get into his presence and be filled with His Holy Spirit in order to minister to our families.... and also to take time away from the pressures of life to be fully immersed and recharged in His presence.
When I need recharging, I seek out the beach or the mountains.  There's something about being in the midst of something truly larger than yourself to put things into perspective.
Recently we were blessed with a few days at the beach.  This time in particular I needed to be surrounded  by the awesomeness of the ocean.  Just being able to sit for a few quiet moments watching the waves crest and fall brought me to a place of marveling in the movement, the order, the perfection.
Looking at the vast stretch of ocean and hearing the pounding waves reminded me that God is in control.
Though I cannot directly see Him (though I see the affects of His presence), the ocean is the closest I can come on Earth to visualizing His presence.  Massive.  Powerful.  Never-ending.  Ordered.  Perfect.  Majestic.
It was He who put the laws of nature into motion and it is He who keeps them there.  So much care and attention He gave to the very basics of life.  How much more care does He have over the flesh and blood created in His image?
If He can do that, I can trust Him with the troubles I face.

Psalm 65:7

The noise of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.
