You may have read the title of this post and thought “well she’s a bit behind” but I’m sharing this Easter party today, because this Easter Sunday my family not only gathered for the holiday, it was also the celebration of some precious babies’ Christenings. When the families were bound to get together already, why not give us more of a cause to celebrate the occasion!
Lush white hydrangeas, pretty parrot tulips and soft baby’s breath set the scene for a simple white and naturally clean affair. This quaint but lovely party also marked the first of many I have lined up in the next few months, and what a way to kick off event season, amongst beautiful flowers, delicious food and loved ones. But my favorite detail of all, these Easter eggs decorated as woodland animals! Scroll below to see more pretty details…
Aren’t these Easter eggs just the prettiest things you ever did see?! These adorable bunnies, chicks and deer made their way throughout the party; next to each centerpiece, amongst all the sweets, and lounge area. Guests couldn’t keep from saying “Aww’ at these precious DIY pieces. Gotta give it to Lauren Conrad for creating the chicest Easter eggs. Aside from the kids’ activity table and an “energizing” egg hunt, this small detail was actually the only nod to Easter.
Easter meals are often quite special. Traditionally for our Portuguese table, it’s lamb, but since this was a Christening celebration, bringing together different families and oversea guests, we decided on Italian eats. Matthew’s Restaurant provided an elaborate spread of appetizers, which included favorites like bruschetta and prosciutto wrapped melon and of course a bountiful cheese platter. Even though you may be throwing a family party, sometimes opting for the hassle-free choice of catering is worth it rather than spending time prepping days prior and cooking different meals. Fun speckled peeps and bunny eggs, you can’t get more adorably Easter than that! With Cadbury eggs, macarons, chocolate chip and walnut cookies, and custard cups, this party ended on a very sweet note.
