A Serious Pen Addiction

By Ashleylister @ashleylister
This week is all about the interactivity.  I wrote a post and didn't like it.  So I started working on this poem last minute.  It's a little bit silly but I've enjoyed working on it.  However, I have to go and stuff some leaflets into carrier bags and I have a pile of housework to do that if I don't make a start today, may just topple and consume me like those creepy creatures in Labyrinth.  You know, these ones....
A serious pen addiction
So instead I'm going to post a half finished poem and invite you to add your own verses to it. So get thinking about stretchy nostrils and see what you can do with this....
It all starts with just one pen....As a tiny toddling tot,I had an obsession with my snot,To mother’s surprise and her despairI shoved pens up my nose a lot. This only worsened as I got older,My choice of objects got much bolder,A felt tip, glue stick, a pencil sharpenerMy nose was a fantastic stationery holder. At 15, my nostrils really had stretched,In archery tickled with feathers as arrows I fletched. And all who knew me stood and staredAt the pile of licorice with my nose I’d fetched. At 24 I’d increased my pen to nostril ratio,So greatly I’d discovered I could perform nasal fellatioSkills like these don’t go unnoticed for longAnd in front of me on bended knee was infamous fetishist Horatio.

Thanks for reading - can't wait to see where anyone else gets to with this!
