One of my favorite parts about Summer would be the patriotism in the air, it's like the 4th of July all season long. Since my brother in law just returned from Afghanistan, I wanted to throw a party to honor the military heroes in my life. We live in a neighborhood with many military families, so I invited some of our military family bff's over for some Summer fun. The evening was filled with classic rock playing on the record player, sweet treats for all (can you say Nestle Coffee-Mate? yum), and a little bit of sparkler dancing.It was a warm evening, so to cool off I provided everyone with some delicious shakes. It was such a great evening and everyone had a blast. I loved watching the kids run around the yard, listening to the adults talk about family life, and enjoyed an evening outside, drinking in the summer air. But most of all, I was excited to provide an evening of fun for those serving our country. I am so grateful for those military heroes in my life, for the sacrifices they make, the courage they show, and the service they do for our country. Military heroes come in every form, each job is an important one and I hope they all feel the love and support of the American people behind them.
